6. PREPARING AND TURNING ON THE VACUUM
CLEANER
6.1 ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
The service voltage shown on the characte-
ristics plate of the vacuum cleaner must be
the same as the power supply voltage. Before
plugging the machine into the mains, ensure
that the switch is in the OFF position A (Fig. 2).
6.2 ON/OFF SWITCH
This machine has a switch with three positions: AUTO, OFF
and MANUAL. A (Fig. 2).
When set to OFF, the vacuum cleaner is off but there is power
supply to the machine's socket box B (Fig. 2).
"MANUAL" position
The vacuum cleaner turns on immediately. There is also
power to the machine's socket box.
"AUTO" position
The machine's socket box supplies power.
The vacuum cleaner switches on when the tool connected
to the outlet is turned on.
When the tool is turned off, the vacuum cleaner continues
to run for 10 seconds to clear the dust from the tubes and it
shakes automatically to clean the diaphragm filter.
Before turning the switch to "AUTO", ensure
that the connected tool is turned off.
Do not exceed the maximum working power shown on the
machine's socket box: 2,200 W.
7. AUTOMATIC CLEANING FUNCTION OF THE
DIAPHRAGM FILTER
This machine is fitted with an electromagnetic device that
automatically shakes the diaphragm filter every 20 seconds,
to get rid of dust that has accumulated F (Fig. 6). The device
only works automatically when the diaphragm filter is in
place. The slight noise it makes when working does not
indicate that the vacuum cleaner is not working correctly.
To keep this noise to a minimum, always fit the diaphragm
filter E (Fig. 5) with the metal side facing down.
8. ADJUSTING THE VACUUM STRENGTH
The vacuum strength can be adjusted using the regulator
C (Fig. 2).
In this way, you can adapt the machine to suit your precise
vacuum and suction needs.

10. BLOW FUNCTION
The suction nozzle may also be connected to the vacuum
cleaner outlet port 3 (Fig. 1), to create a powerful jet of air.
This is very useful for cleaning and drying surfaces.
11. BRAKING THE BACK WHEELS
Brakes can be applied to the two back wheels to stop the
vacuum cleaner from moving unexpectedly.
To apply the brakes, raise or lower the brake levers D (Fig. 3).
To release the brakes, return the brake levers to their
central position.
12. CONNECTOR BETWEEN SUCTION NOZZLE AND
TOOL (Fig. 4)
This has been designed to connect the suction nozzle to the
dust extraction outlet of a power tool. It can be connected
directly if the outlet is Ø 32 mm, or a section will need to
be trimmed with care, if the outlet is Ø 37 mm.
Keep the 32 mm trimmed piece, as if you need to connect
an outlet of this diameter, you can turn the trimmed piece
around and insert it into the 37 mm diameter, until it hits
the collar that was left.
13. FILTER SET-UP
13.1 DIAPHRAGM FILTER
It is washable and includes an automatic shaking element.
To remove or replace the diaphragm filter:
Ensure that the vacuum cleaner is unplugged.
Open the two side clips of the vacuum cleaner and remove
the lid of the tank.
Remove the diaphragm filter.
When replacing the diaphragm filter, ensure that it sits co-
rrectly on the groove of the top edge of the tank and forms a
tight seal, and that the metal side of the shaker is facing down.
Replace the lid of the tank and close the two clips.
Do not exceed the maximum working power
shown on the machine's socket box: 2,200
W B (Fig. 2).
Connect the power tool to the socket on
the machine.
Ensure that the power tool is switched off
before plugging it in.
Collecting dry or damp dust generates an
electrostatic charge that can interfere the
dust collector operation. For that reason
only the special pipe delivered with the dust
collector can be used. This pipe has two blue
sleeves on each side.
The diaphragm filter E (Fig. 5) should be used
at all time, both for liquids and solids.
