2. Be aware that this tool is always in operating condition,
because it does not have to be plugged into an electrical outlet.
3. Always be sure you have firm footing.
4. Be sure no one is below when using the tool in high locations.
5. Hold the tool firmly and use both hands.
6. Keep hands and hair away from rotating parts.
7. Do not leave the tool running. Do not force tool to stay in the
"on" position. Operate the tool only when hand-held.
8. Do not touch the tool, accessory or the workpiece immediately
after operation; they may be extremely hot and could burn your
skin.
OPERATING INSTRUCTION
Installing Or Removing Battery Pack
1. Your new battery pack is not fully charged. You may need to
charge before use.
2. Make sure the tool forward/reverse lever is in the neutral
position when installing or removing a battery.
3. To remove a battery, depress the front tab and pull the
battery forward and the tool in the opposite direction.
4. For 14.4V and 18V batteries, slide the battery pack into the
charger as the arrow indicates. Push the battery pack into
place and make sure the red light on the charger is "ON".
The battery pack is now starting the charging cycle.

1. Battery may not charge when it is above a certain preset
temperature limit. Allow temperature of battery to cool before
charging.
2. The charge process will take less than one hour.
3. Remove the battery pack from tool or case and insert
terminals down into charger. The red light indicating that the
battery pack is charging will illuminate.
4. When the battery finishes charging the light will turn from red
to green. That means the battery pack is fully charged. The
green light will stay on until you remove the charged battery.
5. Unplug the charger from 12Vdc outlet.

9. Some material contains chemicals which may be toxic. Take
caution to prevent working dust inhalation and skin contact.

Tool Operation
• Charger is plugged into a 12Vdc outlet only.
• If the battery pack is too hot or too cold, the charger will not
fast charge the battery and the red light will remain blinking.
When the battery temperature returns to a temperature
between 0-50 degrees Celsius. The charger will automatically
begin charging.
• If both red and green indicator lights are "ON" the battery
pack either does not comply or is defective.
• Any of the following conditions indicates damage to the
charger and/or battery pack. Please contact your distributor.
a) The charging light does not flash (green) when the
charger is plugged into a power source.
b) The charging light does not light up nor flash (red)
when the battery cartridge is inserted in the charger port.
c) Charging is not completed at even more than two
hours after red light comes ON at start of charging.
• Unplug the unit after the charging process and keep in a dry,
cool place.
