Use of the device
1.
To open the kettle lid, press the button in the centre of the lid.
2. Always fill your kettle between the 'MIN' and 'MAX' marks on the product.
3. Place the kettle base on a flat, dry and level surface. Put your kettle on the base, close the lid tightly.
4. Turn the knob to position I. The kettle lights up blue and the water starts to boil..
5. After boiling, the kettle switches off automatically.
An automatic safety cut-out has been fitted for protection against overheating, it will operate if the
kettle is switched on when containing insufficient water.
If the automatic safety cut-out has operated, switch the kettle off, disconnect from the power outlet
and allow the kettle to cool down for 5 to 10 minutes before using it again.
Cleaning and maintenance
Make sure the appliance is unplugged from the supply socket and fully cooled down before cleaning.
To clean the exterior surfaces, slightly wipe over with a soft damp cloth.
To clean the inner walls of the kettle, use a soft damp cloth or a soft brush to remove the residues.
Note: Never use abrasive product
The appliance has to be descaled regularly to ensure optimum performance. The frequency depends on
the water hardness and the boiling frequency.
If you begin to notice the increase of the noise during boiling, or if the kettle switches off before water
being boiled, this indicates that descaling is necessary.
Generally, the descaling should be done in the following periodicity:
With soft water, at least once every 6 months.

With hard water, at least once every 3 months.

You can use a decalcifying product (in this case read the instructions supplied with the product
carefully) or diluted white vinegar (one part vinegar to three parts water).
After the descaling, rinse the inner of the kettle thoroughly with clean water.
