Automatic Safety Cut-Off
The kettle is fitted with an automatic cut-off to prevent overheating, in case there is no or not enough water.
If this should occur, please switch off the kettle, remove the mains plug and wait for approx. 10 minutes.
Thereafter please fill it with water up to the MIN marking at least, reinsert the mains plug into the socket and
switch on the kettle as normal.
Cleaning and care
Attention: Never immerse the water kettle, the base plate, the cable or the plug in water or other liquids
and do not clean these parts in the dishwasher.
· Let the water kettle cool down and remove the plug from the socket before cleaning it.
· Wipe the kettle with a soft, slightly moistened cloth only and dry it off thoroughly.
· Wipe the base plate with a soft, slightly moistened cloth only. Make sure that the base plate is completely
dry before using the water kettle again.
· Do not use any sharp objects or spirit, solvent, scrubbing brushes or abrasive cleaning agents for cleaning.
· Please proceed as follows in order to clean the removable limescale filter:
· Switch off the device, remove the plug from the socket and allow the kettle to cool down.
· Open the lid and remove the filter, which is located directly next to the spout, by pulling it upwards.
· Clean the filter using warm water and a mild detergent.
· Then dry it with a clean cloth.
· Now, reinsert the filter and make sure that it is in the correct position.
· The kettle is ready for use again.
Decalcifying
From time to time, it may be necessary to decalcify your water kettle. The intervals are determined by the
lime content of your water. In the event of a small amount of lime having deposited itself in the water
container, we recommend using citric acid or vinegar for carrying out a gentle decalcification. If the
appliance switches off before the water boils, it probably needs to be decalcified.
· Fill the kettle up to the rim with a solution of citric acid or vinegar (in case of an intense calcification a
decalcification agent should be used).
· Allow the kettle to stand until the lime has completely dissolved.
