· Only place the appliance on non-flammable, flat and stable surfaces and not near hot plates, gas flames
or other sources of heat and out of the reach of children. Ensure sufficient free space above and near the
appliance to avoid overheating. Use the kettle with the accompanying base plate only. Protect sensitive
surfaces from splashes that may occur.
· Take care that when using the appliance the base plate and the bottom of the kettle are completely dry.
· Fill the kettle up to the MAX marking only. Only operate the appliance with water and never without water
or with any other liquids.
· Always ensure that the lid is tightly closed before switching on the appliance. Otherwise, the automatic
switch-off function, for example in case of overheating, cannot activate.
· Caution: The appliance becomes very hot when in use. In the event of contact with hot surfaces there is
a risk of burns. Touch the water kettle at the handle only. Do not carry or move the appliance
while in operation.
· Do not open the lid before the boiling process has come to an end.
· Ensure that the water kettle is switched off before you remove it from its base.
· Remove the main plug every time after use, and also:
· if the appliance is not under your direct supervision
· In the event of malfunction whilst in operation
· Every time that it is being cleaned
Please do not pull on the connecting lead but on the plug itself.
· Do not allow the power cord to dangle and place the device in a way that no one can fall over the cord.
· Never immerse the appliance, the base, the cable or the plug in water or other liquids. Please do not
clean in the dishwasher.
· Clean the water kettle frequently with standard decalficier.
· Check the power cord before every use for damage. Avoid smashing or kinking the power cord or
abrasion on sharp edges or having contact to hot surfaces or liquids. If the power cord is damaged, it
must definitely be replaced by an authorized and qualified person.
· Never use the device if you discover damage, if water has entered the housing, or if the device has fallen.
· Never attempt to open or repair the appliance yourself. In the event of a malfunction, have the appliance
repaired by qualified experts only! Contact your authorized dealer whenever the appliance is in need of
repairs.
