3.5 Setting the transmission frequency
Before switching on the corresponding wireless
microphone (JSS-20 / 5) or the corresponding
pocket transmitter (UF-20TB / 5), set the receiver
to an interference-free transmission frequency
There are three methods to do this:
1 The transmission frequency can be ad-
justed manually between 530 000 MHz and
605 000 MHz (chapter 3 5 1)
2 For operating multiple audio transmission
systems at the same time (chapter 3 5 2),
there are 15 groups with up to 63 channels

in each group (refer to the table starting on
page 46) In ideal conditions, all channels
from a group can be used for audio transmis-
sion at the same time
:
The scan function can be used to deter-
mine the channels being used for transmission
by other systems (chapter 3 5 3) These chan-
nels will be skipped during channel selection
3 Preferred frequencies can also be saved to
six user-defined frequency groups (chap-
ter 3 5 4), e g when operating multiple audio
transmission systems in varying locations

3.5.1 Setting the frequency manually

1) Call up the frequency setting via the menu
item
1. Frequency
Setup Frequency
532.625MHz
G:1 CH:1
2) Turn the knob PUSH / CONTROL to set the
frequency in steps of 1 MHz
3) For fine adjustment in steps of 0 025 MHz,
turn the knob so that the digits after the deci-
mal point are highlighted Then turn the knob
If the frequency is identical to the frequency of
a channel in a group, the group and channel
numbers are indicated in the lower line
4) Press the button SETUP to save the frequency
adjusted

3.5.2 Selecting a frequency from a group

The easiest way to operate multiple audio trans-
mission systems at the same time is to select
the frequencies for the systems from one of the
15 groups:
1) Call up the group and channel selections via
the menu item
