Troubleshooting
Problem
Pump has following
problems: failure to
produce pressure, loss
of pressure, low water
volume.
Detergent fails to mix
with spray.
Engine will not start;
starts and runs rough
or shuts down during
operation.

Cause
1. Low pressure spray tip installed.
2. Pressure control knob is turned to low
spray pressure setting.
3. Inadequate water supply.
4. Clogged inlet hose screen.
5. Spray tip is obstructed.
6. Connections leak.
7. High pressure hose or spray gun leaks.
1. High pressure spray tip installed.
2. Check ball stuck in detergent
siphoning system.
3. Detergent siphoning tube is clogged or
cracked.
1. Out of fuel.
2. Flooded with fuel.
3. Dirty air filter.
4. Spark plug wire not connected to spark
plug.
Correction
1. Replace with high pressure spray tip.
2. Turn pressure control knob clockwise to
increase spray pressure.
3. Provide adequate water flow.
4. Check and clean inlet hose screen.
5. Clean spray tip. See Spray Tip Maintenance.
6. Tighten connections or replace o-rings.
7. Replace.
1. Replace with low pressure black spray tip.
2. Free check ball. See Detergent Siphoning
Check Ball.
3. Clean or replace detergent siphoning
tube.
1. Fill fuel tank.
2. Wait 5 minutes before starting.
3. Clean or replace air filter.
4. Connect wire to spark plug.
