ො In no case should the kettle be placed in or come into contact with water or any liquid.
Do not handle the kettle with wet or damp hands. If the kettle gets wet or damp, re-
move the main plug from the outlet immediately.
ො The kettle must only be used with the supplied stand.
ො Warning: if the kettle gets too full, the boiling water could leak out.
Special safety instructions for the kettle:
ො Use only cold water when filling the device.
ො The water level must be between the MAX. and MIN. marks.
ො Switch the kettle off before removing it from the base.
ො Always ensure that the lid is tightly closed.
2. HOW TO USE
FIRST USE OF THE KETTLE
Before using the kettle for the first time, fill the kettle with cold water and boil it twice
without any additives.
1. Fill the kettle with water. Do not overfill. Use the water level indicator.
2. Place the kettle on the base.
3. Electrical connection
• Check that the electrical voltage you intend to use matches the one of the kettle.
Details can be found on the label at the base of the kettle.
• Only connect the kettle to a properly installed 230V-50Hz safety socket.
4. Switch the kettle to '3' position. The indicator light shows that the water is being boiled.
5. After boiling, the kettle switches off automatically. Disconnect the kettle from the
mains electricity supply. Do not press up the lid when pouring.
3. MAINTENANCE & CLEANING
• Always remove the plug from the mains supply before cleaning the kettle.
• The exterior of the kettle should be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth without ad-
ditives.
