following steps:
6) Remove the cover plate on the rear side of the
amplifier or basic unit. Install the supplied antenna
connection PCB there and fasten it with screws.
7) Connect the wire of the installed antenna connec-
tion PCB to the five-pole pin socket of position a.
8) Insertion PA-1120RCD is provided with a storage
battery to memorize the station tunings. This stor-
age battery has been deactived in the factory to
prevent a gradual discharge of the battery before
the unit is installed. When applying the operating
voltage for the PA-1120RCD, the storage battery is
activated by the switching module b.
For deactivating the battery for a longer period
of time (e. g. for a storage), after disconnecting the
insertion from the operating voltage, shortly pull off
the switching module b and remount it.
9) Close the amplifier or the basic unit with the hous-
ing cover, then connect the reception antennas to
the antenna screw connections while observing the
lettering on the amplifier or basic unit:
AM+GND for medium wave antenna
FM 75 Ω
for VHF antenna with 75 Ω connection

for VHF antenna with 300 Ω connection

5 Operation
Switch on the amplifier or the basic unit with the mains
switch and the insertion with the button PWR (2). The
red power LED (1) and the display (7) light up. To
switch off, actuate the button PWR once again.
5.1 Operation of the CD player
5.1.1 Playing a CD
1) Insert a CD with the lettering facing upwards into
the CD slot (8) until it is automatically pulled in. If
there is already a CD in the unit, the display shows
the symbol

2) To change a CD, press the button EJECT (6). The
CD is ejected and the display shows EJECT.
The insertion PA-1120RCD switches to radio
reception and retracts the CD after approx. 10 se-
conds if it is not removed.
3) After inserting a CD, the display successively
shows LOAD and PLAY. Then the total playing time
and the total number of titles on the CD is dis-
played. The first title starts and the display shows
the time already played and the title number.

4) Adjust the desired volume with the volume control
LEVEL (10).
5) At the end of the CD, the CD player starts the first
title again (continuous replay).
6) To interrupt the CD replay, press the button
PLAY/PAUSE (3). The display shows PAUSE and
all other indications extinguish.
To continue the CD replay, press the button
PLAY/PAUSE once again.
5.1.2 Title selection

5.1.4 Short playing of the title beginnings
The beginnings of all titles of a CD can be shortly
played for 10 seconds each.
1) Press the button INTRO (9). The display shows
SCAN. If the currently playing title has already been
played for more than 10 seconds, the unit goes to
the next title.
2) To switch off this function, press the button INTRO
once again. SCAN extinguishes and the title that
has just been started is continued. The function is
also switched off by actuating the button TOP, RPT,
or RND (9).
5.1.5 Repeat of a title
1) Select the title to be repeated with the button
(5), then press the button RPT (9). RPT is dis-
played and the title is continuously repeated.
2) To switch off this function, press the button RPT
once again. RPT extinguishes. The function is also
switched off by actuating the button TOP, INTRO,
or RND (9).
5.1.6 Random replay
In case of random replay, the titles are not played in
ascending order but in a sequence that the unit selects
at random.
1) Press the button RND (9). RDM is displayed.
