IMPORTANT! The manufacturer is not liable for any direct and/or
indirect damage caused by incorrect connections.
IMPORTANT! Before carrying out the following operations, make
sure that the plug is disconnected from the mains.
Take out the machine tool and components and visually check that they are
perfectly intact; then proceed to thoroughly clean them in order to remove
any protective oils used for transport.
TRANSPORT
Always use the packaging or case (when provided) when transporting the
tool; this will protect it from impact, dust and humidity which can compro-
mise normal operation.
MOVING
Grip the tool by its handle and after use put it down upright without banging
using the base of the abrasive support.
STARTING UP
When choosing where to use the electrical tool, the following should be
considered:
- that the place is not damp and is protected from the elements.
- that there should be a large operational area free from obstacles.
- that there is good lighting.
- that it needs to be used close to the general differential switch.
- that the power supply system is earthed and conforms to the standards
(only if the electrical tool is class 1, which is equipped with a plug with
earth cable).
- that the room temperature should be between 10° and 35° C.
- that the environment is not in an explosive atmosphere.
FRONT HANDLE ADJUSTMENT (pos.6, where fitted)
Loosen the side wheel, bend the handle forwards and tighten the wheel
fully.
ASSEMBLY/ADJUSTMENT OF THE ABRASIVE SUPPORT (fig.D pos.20)
If it is not assembled yet, carefully observe fig.D and install it according to
the "Maintenance" chapter.
If it is already assembled, check that it is taut without any folds.
- For circular or rectangular abrasive sheets, check that they are positioned
exactly in the centre of the backing plate/vibrating plate (pos.10) and that
any holes present correspond exactly to the suction holes on the backing
plate/vibrating plate.
- For the belt abrasive support, tension it by using the lever (pos.15), check
that it is at the centre of the driving rollers (pos.14) and if necessary adjust
it using the knob (pos.16).
DUST COLLECTION BAG ASSEMBLY (fig.C pos.9)
The coupling may be of the pressure or bayonet type. Carefully observe
fig.C and install it.
VACUUM HOSE ASSEMBLY (not supplied)
For optimal vacuuming it is possible to connect the machine discharge
(pos.7 when fitted) to a vacuum device for sucking away the dust produ-
ced (not supplied). Ask your retailer about the type suitable for the work.
ASSEMBLING/REPLACING THE VIBRATING PLATE/BACKING PLATE
(fig.C pos.10, when fitted as an accessory)
According to the type of process you can replace the vibrating plate
(pos.10). For the assembly carefully observe fig.C and install it, also repla-
cing the abrasive support.
ASSEMBLING THE ACCESSORIES (Fig.H, if present)
Carefully observe fig.H and install the accessories, if needed for the pro-
