When using your gas stove, always follow the basic safety precautions listed below
in order to reduce the risk of fire, injury or damage:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE.
2. Make sure the stove is properly installed by a qualified technician.
3. DO NOT use your gas stove for anything other than its intended use, as
described in this manual.
4. DO NOT use outdoors.
5. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with limited
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
6. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children,
or incapacitated individuals. DO NOT allow children to play near or with the gas
stove.
7. Avoid storing or using flammable materials, including curtains, draperies, etc.,
above or near the stove while it is in operation, as a fire may occur. Never wear
loose-fitting or hanging clothing or allow long, loose hair to dangle over the stove
during use.
8. DO NOT operate the stove if it is damaged. DO NOT try to repair or replace any
parts or accessories. All servicing should be performed by a qualified technician.
9. DO NOT use accessories not recommended by the manufacturer, as they may
cause fire, electric shock or personal injury.
10. DO NOT store flammable materials near, inside, on, or above the stove.
11. It a fire occurs, it should be extinguished only with the proper fire extinguisher in
accordance with local fire codes and as recommended by local fire department
authorities in your area.
12. When using potholders or oven mitts near the stove or oven, do not let them
touch the flames or hot surfaces.
13. DO NOT touch hot surfaces while the stove is in use or following use until it has
completely cooled.
14. Match cookware to the size of the burner. Using large cookware on a small gas
burner decreases cooking efficiency and may cause the cookware to become
unstable. Using small cookware on a large gas burner may expose open flame,
damaging the pot handle or causing a fire.
15. Never leave the stove unattended while in use.
16. DO NOT use aluminum foil or similar materials to line the stove surface, oven
racks or stove bottom, as these materials could cause a fire.
17. Make sure to keep the burners clean and free of residues, which increase
the risk of fire and affect cooking performance. Remove and wash burners
periodically with warm soapy water using a sponge; rinse and dry well before
replacing them.
