IEC-Style AC Connector - 120V Models Only
Th e IEC-style AC cord receptacle receives the heavy-gauge, 6 ft . (1.8 m) long,
power cord included with your Fathom subwoofer. Your Fathom should only be
powered from a 120V AC, 60 Hz outlet. Do not use any AC power cord other
than the one supplied with the Fathom.
Th e Fathom subwoofer is a very powerful device and can draw a lot of current. If
too many components are connected with a Fathom subwoofer to one electrical
outlet, you risk tripping a household circuit breaker during very demanding
program material. If this happens, split the Fathom and other components
between two AC electrical circuits. If possible, for maximum performance,
dedicate an AC circuit to each Fathom.
IEC-Style AC Connector/Main Power Switch - 220-240V Models Only
Th e IEC-style AC power cord receptacle receives the heavy-gauge, 6 ft . (1.8 m)
long, power cord included with your Fathom subwoofer. For some countries, it
may be necessary to purchase a heavy-duty power cord locally.
Th e 220-240V model should only be powered from a 220-240 V AC, 50 Hz or
60 Hz outlet.
When not in use for prolonged periods, the unit may be switched off (O)
completely via the rear panel main power switch built into the IEC connector. Th e
rear panel main power switch should only be operated when the front panel power
switch is in the "Off " position (see page 14). Failure to follow this instruction may
result in undesirable and potentially damaging transient pops.
WARNING! TURN OFF THE FATHOM AND ALL OTHER EQUIPMENT IN THE
SYSTEM BEFORE MAKING OR CHANGING ANY CONNECTIONS!
