Charging the battery
Three ways are provided to charge the battery pack: using the charger (this one
is highly recommended), using the USB cable, or using the power adapter. The
steps below shows you how to charge the battery by using the charger.

Connect one end of the supplied AC adapter to the
charger stand and the other end to a wall outlet.

Place the depleted battery pack into the charger.
Note that the metallic contacts must be aligned with the contacts in the charger.
The charging indicator turns red when charging starts. When the charging
indicator turns green, the battery pack is fully charged.
To a wall outlet
This charger can only be used to charge the accessory battery pack. Do not
use it to charge other unknown batteries.
USB charging
Connect one end of the USB cable to the
computer. Turn on your camera. Connect the
other end of the USB cable to your camera.
Use ( / ) to select the USB Charging
item on the LCD monitor, and then press
MENU/OK to confirm. The charging time will
take approximately 6 hours.
AC charging
Connect one end of the power adapter to a wall outlet. Connect the other end
of the power adapter to your camera. The charging time will take approximately
4 hours.
