b.) 230V–mains adapter operation with connected accumulator resp. battery (supporting function in case of 230V- blackout):
1. First connect the connection cable with the accumulator and then connect with plug (9).
2. Put the plug of the 230V-adapter into the solar-socket (1), and then connect with the mains supply.
CAUTION: It is absolutely necessary to follow the stated sequence, otherwise the danger of a short circuit and damage of the
electronics exists!
c.) Functional description WITH connected fence system (fence + earth)
This appliance enables an extremely large adjustable range of the shock power. Beside that an excellent
guarding security with lowest current-consumption is reached by the intelligent "POWERtronic" circuit-technology.
By turning the operating knob the appliance changes into the adjustment-mode and shows the chosen power-level on the display. By
turning left the maximum shock power is reduced, by turning right it is increased. In the levels 1-5 you can choose between 0.18 Joules
in position 1 to 0.5 Joules in position 5. In 12V operation there is additionally the sector of level 6 – 20 available, which reaches up to
the maximum shock power of the appliance.
In levels 6-19 the POWERtronic-Function is active. In these levels the chosen shock power will be passed to the fence in full scope if
the fence is under load, caused by animal-contact, defective insulators or grass growth. By this, the current-consumption can be
reduced considerably in low-load condition so that the runtime attainable with an accumulator or battery is essentially extended with
good fence-condition.With the different power levels you can exactly determine the max. shock-power and current consumption. From
approximately 7.5 - 8kV fence-voltage, the appliance regulates down as a further increase would not be meaningful, impairs only the
lifespan of the insulators but would not increase fencing security – just increase current consumption. If the fence-voltage goes below
approx. 4.5 kVs because of higher load, the appliance increases the shock power until the maximum-value is reached. By this, only as
much energy as necessary is always taken from the battery for a good guarding security. An indication for coming below the limit of a
good fence security is the digital fence-voltage display but also the green indicator light. As soon as the fence-voltage descends under
3.5 kVs, this green light stops to blink and shows an insufficient guarding security.
In position 20 the unit switches from POWERtronic-Function to EXTEM-Mode. Here, the unit always provide the maximum energy.
Attention: In this level the current consumption increases quite high compared to the other levels – depending on fence load.

d.) Advices for the practical operating and the election of the attitude:
This fencer is a high-performance-appliance which should be driven only with very good grounding (min. 3 ground rods with 1 to 1.5m
length) and fence wire material with a resistance of max. 0.15 ohms per meter, as otherwise a good regulation-function of this
appliance cannot be not reached.
After connection to fence and earth and switching ON the appliance, you begin with level 1 (if necessary turn the button as long to the
left, until the display shows a "1"). Then increase step by step until the green fence-control-lamp blinks continually. If this voltage is at
around 4 kV, a completely sufficient value is already reached for animals, which are easy to protect. For more insensitive animals,
increase step by step until a fence-voltage of 5 or 6 kVs is reached.
Approximately 2 seconds after completion of the adjustment, the current fence voltage appears in the display.
Hint: Drive the appliance 2 days on maximum power when start fencing
If no sufficient fence-voltage is achievable and the appliance properly works without connected fence, the fence must be examined for
short circuits, damages and excessive growth. Please eliminate the fault and adjust the appliance new after connection. Through daily
observation of the fence-voltage-display, changes in the fence can be recognized immediately
(e.g. increase of the fence-voltage in case of interruption, decrease of the fence-voltage in case of growth or short circuits).
If the indicator light flashes faster than approximately 1x per second, the appliance must be disconnected at once and
checked by a technician before it can be used again.
This electric fence device has a delay time of 20 seconds.
In case of longer operating intermission the 12V accumulator should be disconnected from the appliance and be connected to a mains-
charger with conservation-phase. If there is no charger available, the accumulator should be relcharged all 2 – 3 months in order to
avoid low discharge damage.
Any user of electric fence systems is legally indebted to control the fence-appliance and the fence system regularly, in
accordance with the conditions of use, at least once per day.
