new battery is installed. Please beware of battery
polarity during replacement. The unit will not
operate without battery.
Maintenance
We have tried to make the heat detector virtually
maintenance free. However, under dusty
conditions, a vacuum hose may be used to clean
the sensor. When the battery is low, replace with a
fresh one.
Never attempt to repair the unit yourself
Installation of heat alarm is only one step in your
safety plan. Other important steps are required to
make the plan more perfect.
You must:
• Install the heat detector properly, follow all the
instruction in the manual.
• Test your heat alarm weekly. Replace it
immediately if they are not working properly.
• Do not smoke in bed.
• Keep matches & lighters away from children.
• Store flammable materials in proper way. Don't
ever use them near open flame or sparks.
• Maintain emergency equipments such as fire
extinguisher, escape ladder etc ant make sure
that everyone in the family knows how to use it
properly.
