DETAILED SAFETY REGULATIONS
PRECAUTIONS FOR USING ROTARY HAMMER
•
Wear ear protectors. Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss.
•
Use auxiliary handle(s), if supplied with the tool. Loos of control
can cause personal injury.
•
Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, when
performing an operation where the cutting accessory may
contact hidden wiring or its own cord. Cutting accessory
contacting a "live" wire may make exposed metal parts of the power
tool "live" and could give the operator an electric shock.
•
Use proper equipment to locate hidden power lines. Contact with
live wires may cause fire or electric shock. Damage of gas installation
pipe may cause explosion. Ingress to water line may cause electric
shock and cause major property damage.
•
Each time before connecting the power tool check the power
cord, in case of damage hand over to authorized workshop for
replacement.
•
When operating the power tool hold it in both hands while
keeping stable body position. Keep the handles clean. Power tool
is safer when held with two hands.
•
When operating the power tool held high, stand firmly on the
ground and ensure there are no bystanders below.
•
Avoid touching rotating parts. Touching of rotating power tool
parts, equipment in particular, may cause body injury.
•
Wait until power tools comes to a complete stop before putting
it away. Working tool may jam and cause loss of control over the
power tool.
•
Do not direct operating power tool at other persons or at
yourself.
•
Use anti dust mask during operation to protect respiratory
system.
CAUTION: This device is designed to operate indoors.
The design is assumed to be safe, protection measures and
additional safety systems are used, nevertheless there is always a
small risk of injuries at work.

Information on noise and vibration
The level of noise emitted by the device is described by: the level of the
emitted sound pressure LpA and the sound power level LwA (where K is
the measurement uncertainty). The vibrations emitted by the device are
described by the value of the vibration acceleration ah (where K is the
measurement uncertainty).
The emitted sound pressure level LpA, sound power level LwA and
vibration acceleration ah given in this manual were measured in
accordance with EN 62841-2-6. The stated vibration level ah can be used
for the comparison of devices and for the initial assessment of vibration
exposure.
The stated vibration level is representative only for the basic use of the
device. If the machine is used for different applications or with different
work tools, the vibration level may change. The higher vibration level will
be influenced by inadequate or too seldom maintenance of the device.
The reasons given above may result in an increased exposure to vibration
during the entire period of operation.
To accurately estimate exposure to vibration, consider periods when
the equipment is turned off or when it is turned on but not in use.
After all factors have been carefully assessed, the overall vibration
exposure may be significantly lower.
In order to protect the user against the effects of vibrations, additional
safety measures should be implemented, such as: periodic maintenance
of the device and working tools, protection of the appropriate temperature
of hands and proper organization of work.
CONSTRUCTION AND PURPOSE
The chipping hammer is a hand-held power tool with Class II insulation.
The device is driven by a single-phase commutator motor, the rotational
speed of which is reduced via a gear transmission. These types of power
tools are widely used for work in concrete, brick and related materials. The
areas of its use include the performance of renovation and construction
works.
Do not use the power tool for purposes other than those for which it was
intended.

PREPARATION TO WORK
ADJUSTMENT OF THE AUXILIARY HANDLE
For safety reasons, always use the auxiliary handle when handling
the hammer.
The auxiliary handle, apart from the possibility of setting it in any position
on the circumference of the hammer housing, has a step adjustment of its
position.
•
Loosen the auxiliary handle lock knob (7).
•
Turn the auxiliary handle (3) around the perimeter of the hammer
housing to the most convenient position for the work conditions.
•
Tilt the auxiliary handle (7) away from the hammer housing.
•
Tighten the auxiliary handle locking knob (3) to fix it securely.
