MOWING DECK PROBLEMS
POSSIBLE CAUSES
Grass and dirt accumulated inside the
mowing deck
Blunt or deformed blades
Damaged or worn out blade shaft
One or both the belts are insufficiently
tensioned
Blunt or deformed blades
Damaged bearing housing
Bent blades
Damaged bearing housing
The drive belt is insufficiently tensioned
Inappropriate mowing height
Grass has accumulated inside the
mowing deck
The drive belt is insufficiently tensioned
Inappropriate travel speed
Incorrectly installed blade
►
Remove the dirt from the underside of the mowing
deck.
►
Check the condition of the blades and sharpen or
replace as necessary (
►
Check the condition of the shaft.
►
Check the tension and tension it if necessary
(
6.3.8 and 6.3.9).
►
Check the condition of the blades and sharpen or
replace as necessary (
►
Check the condition of the bearings and based on
findings perform a repair or replacement. When
mowing thick grass or grass that is too wet, an
unmowed strip may remain. The travel speed should
be adjusted to respect the mowing conditions by
shifting into a suitable gear. The engine should not run
with the throttle valve fully open.
►
Check the condition of the blades and replace as necessary
(
6.3.6)
►
Check the condition of the bearings and based on
findings perform a repair or replacement.
►
Check the tension of the drive belt (
and tension it if necessary.
►
Check the mowing height and adjust if necessary. Turf
is ripped out more frequently on uneven terrain.
►
Remove the grass from the underside of the mowing
deck. In wet conditions, the ejection chute and the
lower side of the outlet from the mowing deck may clog
up with grass. Do not mow wet grass.
►
Check the tension of the drive belt (
and tension it if necessary.
►
Adjust the travel speed to the mowing conditions. The
engine should not run with the throttle valve fully open.
When mowing high grass, first mow once at a high
mowing height, then once more at the normal height.
Follow the information in chapter 5.5.3.
►
Check, particularly after replacing blades, that the
blade is installed correctly.
