4. Product installation
4.1 Important
Adhere to the electrical standards in effect, as well as the following points:
- It is imperative to cut off the supply for the sector to which the product will be
connected before proceeding to installation. Risk of electric shock.
- Avoid positioning the receiver against or close to any metallic part in order to avoid any
radio transmission drop.
- Ensure that there is no dust on the connection points such as the power terminals and/or on the
cable. This may cause a fire or electric shock.
4.2 Product positioning
- Place the product in a detachable manner close to the device to be controlled. The product must
not be positioned close to the metallic surface, and should be at a height of less than 1.5m high.
- Do not install the gateway where devices using radiofrequencies as means of transmission are
prohibited (Refer to local standards in effect).
- Do not install the gateway close to devices that may be affected by radio waves.
- Do not install the gateway where persons wearing a pacemaker may be present.
- Do not install the gateway in a damp environment (for example, a bathroom).
4.3 Connecting the product
- Connect the HITACHI communication cable.
The connector is generally marked as TB2- 1&2. Consult the heat pump installation manual to con-
firm the connector number.
- Place the cable through the orifice identified by marker 3.
- Connect the power cable (L = Live ; N =Neutral) (Tightening torque 0.50 Nm)
- Position the power cable in the cable guide identified by marker 1.
- Do not cut the antenna cable symbolized by the logo
- The cables must be positioned in the box's cable guides in order to guarantee the pull-off strength
(see below).
