Troubleshooting
7.1
General
Consult the Holmatro dealer if the listed solutions do not give the desired result, or in case of other
problems. For malfunctions or repair, always specify the model and serial number of the equipment.
7.2
The plunger does not extend or does partly extend

Possible cause
The pressure relief valve on the pump is open.
The couplers are not connected properly.
The oil level in the pump is too low.
The connected pump does not operate.
The plunger jams.
7.3
The plunger extension is jerky

Possible cause
There is air in the system.

The plunger extends more slowly than usual

The couplers are not connected properly.
The connected pump does not operate.

The plunger extends but does not retain its pressure

A jack seal leaks.
The system is not arranged correctly.

The plunger leaks oil

Seals are worn or damaged.
The jack is damaged internally.

The plunger does not return or does return more slowly than usual

The pressure relief valve on the pump is closed.
The couplers are not connected properly.
Too much oil returns to the pump.

Close the pressure relief valve.
Connect the couplers in the correct way.
Add hydraulic oil to the correct level.
