NOTE: To obtain satisfactory results test the tool
beforehand. When cutting the foam you should
maintain a constant constant temperature and speed.
If smoke appears during cutting, it means that the cuts are being
made too slowly or that the blade is too hot, which may cause uneven
cuts. This can be remedied by reducing the temperature and
intermittently pressing the tool trigger while cutting. If you notice
that the cutting resistance increases, press the trigger again
continuously. The heat knife will reach the set temperature in a matter of seconds.
This will give you perfect cuts and prolong the life of the blade of the tool.
Releasing the trigger approximately 5 centimetres before the end of the cut will help to keep the blade clean and
free of build-up. The selected blade should not be more than 20 millimetres thicker than the material to be cut.
Recommendations and advice
1. Refer to the manufacturer's safety data sheet for the flash and toxicity points of the material to be cut.
2. Each time you use the heat knife, make sure it is in a well-ventilated area.
3. Never burn excess residue left on the thermal knife blade. This could cause overheating and deformation
of the blade.
4. Only use the heat knife when it is in contact with the material to be cut.
5. Keep hot blades away from skin, clothing and other flammable materials.
6. Allow blades to cool before use. A hot blade can cause injury or burns to exposed surfaces.
Maintenance
Constant use of the thermal knife can result in polystyrene material building up on the blades. This excess interfe-
res with the internal electrical installations and impairs the performance of the tool.
The blades and the brackets that support them can be cleaned using a wire brush.
Warranty
It offers free repair coverage for any defects found in the product, either in the materials used and/or in the
manufacture of the product. It will be effective for 1 year, starting from the date of purchase indicated on the original
purchase invoice.
