d. Carefully wipe the outside of the pipette with a lint-free cloth or swab.
Take care not to touch the capillary orifice to avoid liquid being
sucked out.
Discharge liquid (pipettes calibrated to contain "In")

a. Immerse the pipette into the diluting agent.
b. Turn the thumb wheel towards the adapter until the liquid has been
discharged.
c. Rinse the pipette by drawing in and discharging the diluting agent:
Carefully draw in the diluting agent up to the correct level of the liquid
to be measured.
d. Repeat this procedure at least 3 times.
e. Lightly wipe the pipette against the wall of the vessel.
