Now you are ready to insert your food into the bread slots. Keep the following tips in mind
when inserting your food:
• Most types of breads and pastries can be toasted, such as bagels, tea cakes, thickly
sliced breads, English muffins, etc. Slices should not, however, be so thick as to jam the
bread slots.
• When toasting two slices at a time, the slices should be of equal size and freshness to en-
sure even toasting.
• Place the bread in the centre of each slot.
Always remove all protective wrappings from your food before placing it into the toaster.
After you insert the food into the bread slots:
1. Choose between the different functions. If no function is selected, Toast is the default
setting.
2. Select the desired darkness setting by turning the Browning Control Knob.
3. Press the Bread Carriage Lever down until it locks.
The Auto-Adjusting Bread Guides will automatically centre the food for even browning.
After the desired level of darkness has been reached, the food will pop up automatically.
The Bread Carriage Lever will return to its original position.
Warning! To prevent a fire hazard, never place bread over the opening of the toaster, al-
ways place the bread into the slots.
NOTE: DO NOT change the Browning Control Knob selection during the toasting cycle.
First press the CANCEL button; then turn the Browning Control Knob to adjust the brown-
ing level.
4. Carefully remove the toasted food from the bread slots.
WARNING: Toasted food can be very hot. Handle with care.
To interrupt toasting, press the CANCEL button.
Before cleaning unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down.
Clean the outer surface with a damp cloth.
Grasp the crumb tray by the edge and pull it out, remove the bread residue and push it back in.
In compliance with Directives: 2012/19/EU and 2015/863/EU on the restriction of the use of dangerous
substances in electric and electronic equipment as well as their waste disposal. The symbol with the
crossed dustbin shown on the package indicates that the product at the end of its service life shall be
collected as separate waste. Therefore, any products that have reached the end of their useful life must
be given to waste disposal centres specialising in separate collection of waste electrical and electronic
equipment, or given back to the retailer at the time of purchasing new similar equipment, on a one for one
basis. The adequate separate collection for the subsequent start-up of the equipment sent to be recycled,
treated and disposed of in an environmentally compatible way contributes to preventing possible nega-
tive effects on the environment and health and optimises the recycling and reuse of components making
up the apparatus. Abusive disposal of the product by the user involves application of the administrative
sanctions according to the laws.
