2.1 Product-related information
Surface suction units, which are tied to technical standards and regulations at home and abroad for
public and private swimming pool areas, are constructed and produced in accordance with the following
EN policies:
•
DIN EN 13451 Swimming pool equipment, Part 1 and 3:
Part 1: General safety requirements and test procedures
Part 3: Additional special safety requirements and test procedures for inlets and outlets as well as
water and air attractions.
•
DIN EN 15288-1:2008+A1:2010, Part 1: Safety requirements for planning and construction.

installed on the ground;
•
The surface suction unit must be connected to the additional protective potential equalisation if there
is an electrically conductive connection to electrical equipment (e.g. filter pump). This may be the
case, for example, if the surface suction unit is connected to the filter pump by means of electrically
conductive pipes (e.g. stainless steel pipes).
•
It is also necessary to include the surface suction unit in the additional protective potential equalisation
in case of contact with the sheathing or earth.
•
When it comes to electrical installations in swimming pools, please observe DIN VDE 0100 Part 702.

Transport and storage
Condensation may form in the event of prolonged humidity and changing temperatures. The formation of
local corrosion cannot be ruled out. Cleaning must then be carried out as described in chapter 8.

Water requirements
Water in swimming/bathing pools or swimming/bathing ponds must not exceed or fall short of the
following values.
