USING YOUR APPLIANCE
1. Lift the Locking Latch to unlock the appliance.
2. Open the unit by pulling the handle up.
3. Lightly coat the cooking plates with a little cooking oil or a cooking spray.
4. Close the appliance and plug it into the wall outlet, you will notice that the
power light (Red) will go on, the ready light (Green) will be off, indicating that
the appliance has begun preheating.
5. After the unit preheats for approximately five minutes, the Ready Indicator
Light will illuminate in green, indicating the product is ready for use.
6. Use the Handle to lift the Upper Plate. Place food on the Lower Plate. To avoid
damage to the nonstick surface, use only plastic, nylon, wood or specially
designed utensils for nonstick coatings. Avoid using metal or sharp objects.
7. Use the Handle to lower and rest the Upper Plate on top of the food.
NOTES: The cooking time for different foods depends on the type and
thickness of the foods. Foods should be cooked thoroughly before
consumption.
8. When the food is cooked as desired, lift the Handle to open the Plates, then
remove the food using only utensils.
9. Repeat Steps 6-8 until all cooking is complete, reapplying cooking oil as
necessary.
10. Once you are finished cooking, disconnect the plug from the wall outlet and
leave the appliance open to cool.
NOTE: Never use the appliance with the cover in the open position.

•
Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before cleaning.
•
To remove the plates, press the release tabs on both sides of the plates and
remove from the appliance. The plates can be washed in the dishwasher or by
hand with hot, soapy water; always dry plates thoroughly before reattaching.
•
Wipe the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth only. Do not clean the
outside with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool, as this will damage the
finish.
•
Never immerse the appliance in water or place in dishwasher.
•
Do not use metal utensils to remove your food, they can damage the non-stick
surface.
STORAGE
•
Always unplug the appliance before storage.
•
Always make sure the appliance is cool and dry before storing.
•
The power cord can be wrapped around the bottom of base for storing.
This appliance has no user serviceable parts. Any servicing beyond that
described in the Cleaning Section should be performed by an Authorized Service
Representative only. See warranty available online.
