To install the blade
1. Remove the battery pack.
2. Position the inner flange onto the
motor shaft with the bulge of the
inner flange facing outwards
(Fig. 15).
3. Install the new blade onto the inner
flange.
WARNING:
flange must engage the blade's mounting
hole (Fig. 16). There should not be any
clearance between the blade and the
inner flange flat surface.
4. Mount the outer flange and the nut
onto the shaft, and pre-tighten the
nut COUNTERCLOCKWISE by hand.
5. Rotate the blade to align the slot in
the flange with the hole in the gear
case (see Fig. 12).
6. Insert a steel rod, such as drill bit,
with diameter around 5/32" (4mm)
into the aligned holes to act as a
stabilizer. Use the multi-function
wrench provided to tighten the nut
COUNTERCLOCKWISE securely onto
the shaft (Fig. 17).
7. Insert a new cotter pin (Ø2x16 mm, not included) into the hole in the motor shaft.
Bend the two ends of the pin in opposite directions with needle nose pliers (not
included) (see Fig. 12).
