iii)
TRANSPORTATION, MARKING AND STORAGE OF EQUIPMENT USING
FLAMMABLE REFRIGERANTS
Transport of equipment containing flammable refrigerants
Your attention is drawn to the fact that additional transport regulations may exist regarding
equipment containing flammable gases. The maximum number of equipment or
configuration of equipment that can be transported together is determined by the
applicable transport regulations.
Marking of equipment with signs
Signs relating to similar devices used in a work area are generally governed by local
regulations and define the minimum safety and / or health signage requirements for a
workplace.
All required signs should be maintained and employers should ensure that employees
receive appropriate and sufficient instruction and training in the meaning of the
appropriate safety signs and the actions to be taken in relation to such signs. The
effectiveness of signs should not be diminished by too many signs placed together.
All pictograms used should be as simple as possible and contain only essential details.
Disposal of equipment using flammable refrigerants
See national regulations.
Storage of equipment / devices
Equipment storage should be in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Storage of packaged equipment (unsold)
The protection of the storage package should be designed so that mechanical damage to the
equipment inside the package does not cause the refrigerant charge to leak. The maximum
number of pieces of equipment that can be stored together is determined by local regulations.
Storage
• Always unplug the machine from the outlet before putting it away.
• Store the device in a cool, dry and clean place, out of the reach of children and pets.
• Please keep the packaging to store your device when not in use for a longer period of time.
Packaging and environment
(1)
Disposal of packaging materials
The packing materials protect your machine from damage that may occur during transport.
These materials are environmentally friendly since they are recyclable. Recycling of materials
both saves raw materials and reduces waste production.
Environmentally friendly disposal
(2)
You can help protect the environment! Remember to respect local regulations: hand over
non-functional electrical equipment to an appropriate recovery and collection center. The
packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally friendly
manner and make it available for the recyclable collection service.
