Do not operate the tool near flammable materials. Sparks could ignite these materials.
Do not use accessories that require liquid coolants
WORKWEAR
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair and clothes away from moving parts.
Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught by moving parts. Use:
-
Eye and ear protection.
-
Safety gloves.
-
Long trousers
Protective equipment such as a dust mask, safety gloves, non-skid safety boots and a hard hat will reduce the
risk of personal injury.
WORK AREA SAFETY
Dust from materials such as lead-containing coatings, some types of wood, minerals and metals can be harmful
to health. Touching or inhaling the dust can cause allergic reactions or respiratory infections in the user or
bystanders. Some dusts, such as oak or beech dusts, are considered carcinogenic, especially in connection with
wood treatment additives (chromate, wood preservative). Asbestos-containing materials may only be worked by
specialists.
As far as possible, use a dust extraction system suitable for the material. Ensure good ventilation of the workplace.
The use of a respirator of filter class P2 is recommended.
Keep bystanders, children or animals away while operating this machine. Distractions can cause loss of control.
Keep the work area clean and work only with sufficient lighting. Cluttered and dark areas can cause accidents.
MACHINE MAINTENANCE, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
Carry out maintenance on the machine. We recommend that maintenance and repairs not described in this
manual be carried out by the Official Technical Service.
Regularly observe the state of wear of the brush and replace brushes which are too short in time. The replaced
brush must be flexible and free on the brush grip. Use your hand to move the motor and make sure that it is
flexible in rotation. Then start the motor and run it for 15 minutes without load so that the brush is in good
contact with the commutator.
Keep the air duct clear and regularly remove oil and dirt from the machine.
Carry out a thorough inspection at least once a quarter and grease.
Keep the handles dry and clean. Dirty handles can lead to loss of control.
Avoid accidental starting of the machine. Make sure that the switch is in the "off" position before picking up or
transporting this machine. Transporting electrical machines with the switch in the "on" position may endanger
your safety and lead to accidents.
Disconnect the battery from the machine before making any adjustments, cleaning or storing this machine.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
If you discover any damage, send your machine to the Official Service Centre.
Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job
better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on or off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with
the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or remove the battery from the power tool before making
adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive measures reduce the risk of starting the
power tool accidentally.
Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind
and are easier to control.
Keep handles and gripping surfaces dry, clean and free of oil and grease.
