Turn on the water and start the engine so
that the blade moves horizontally around the
skirt. Allow the engine to run for 3-5 minutes.
Do not use this method unless the spring-
loaded ap on the skirt is down!
Sharpening the blade
Remove the spark plug cap (13) from the
spark plug. Remove the bolt and washer
securing the blade to the crankshaft and
remove the blade and adapter.
Caution: The blade can be sharp!
Get the knife sharpened at a professional
workshop if you do not have the necessary
experience to do it yourself.
The blade must be completely in balance
after sharpening. You can also insert a
screwdriver into the hole in the middle of
the blade and see if the blade balances on
the screwdriver. If not, sharpen more of the
blade's heavy side.
Replace the blade with a new one if it is
damaged, bent or otherwise out of balance.
Lubricate the crankshaft and adapter using
lubricating spray or a light oil.
Replace the components in reverse order and
check that the blade is secure. The spare part
number on the blade must be facing away
from the adapter.
The bolt must be tightened with a torque of
40-50 Nm.
Maintenance
Checking the oil level
Place the lawnmower on a at surface.
Unscrew the oil plug and wipe the dipstick.
Fully screw the oil plug to the bottom and
then unscrew it again. Check that the oil level
is between the Min and Max marks on the
dipstick.
If the oil level is too low, re ll with clean fresh
engine oil suitable for garden machinery.
Changing the oil
The engine oil must be changed after the
rst 20 hours of operation, and then every 50
hours of operation or at least at the start of
the season.
You can either use an oil replacement set or
follow the instructions below.
Place a at collection tray under the
lawnmower.
Loosen the oil drain plug (18) using a
screwdriver.
bt
Unscrew the oil drain plug and allow the
engine oil to run into the collection tray. This
is easiest when the engine oil is warm.
Open the oil plug.
Retighten the oil drain plug once all the oil
has drained out. Re ll with 0.6 litres of engine
oil e.g. SAE-30) suitable for garden machinery
and retighten the oil plug.
