Playing a Record
Always wipe records with a good cloth to remove dust
and other particles before placing the stylus in the
starting grooves.
Also confirm that no dust is clinging
to the stylus.
A dirty record and stylus can cause
unpleasant static during record play.
The CP-1046F
is a fully automatic turntable.
However,
manual
and auto-repeat operation are also possible.
Be
sure the unit has been set properly before beginning
record play.
In particular, check the tracking force
setting and connections regularly.
Fully Automatic Operation
1. Place a record on the turntable mat
[1] and set the
Speed Selector [22] to the correct speed for the

setting for the record about to be played.

will change into red and the

5. To interrupt record play before the end is reached,
depress the Play/Reject Button

the turntable platter [3] will stop rotating.
6. Do not touch or forcibly move the tonearm during
this time as it will damage the automatic mechanism.
Manual Operation
Fully automatic operation can only be used to play a
record from the beginning.
To begin record play from
another location, it is necessary to operate the CP-1046F
manually.
Press the Cue Button
[17] to the up position to raise the
tonearm
{!3| off the arm rest.
Now move the tonearm
over the record until the stylus is directly over the
section to be played; the turntable will automatically
begin rotating.
Depress the Cue Button again to lower
the tonearm onto the record surface and begin record
play.
The tonearm will automatically return to the arm
rest when the end of the record is reached or the Play/
Reject Button
[16 is depressed.
Repeat Function
To operate the repeat function, simply depress the
Repeat Button
|19}). The REPEAT
indicator will
light up and the record will be played again and again.
The repeat function is cancelled by depressing the
Play/Reject Button
[16} to stop record play immediately,
or by depressing the Repeat Button
[19] once more, in
which case the record will be played to its end.
In
either case, the REPEAT
indicator will turn off.
