depressed. In this way it is possible to provide stereophonic

20 POWER/TUNER Power supply socket for a correspondingly
prepared tuner (without its own power supply unit) such as
Dual CT 1160. The voltage is 13.5 V AC and the maximum cur-
rent load is 500 mA.
This voltage is only applied when the function 6 switch is set
to tuner position.
Preparations
Connection to the AC mains
The unit can be operated with AC voltages of 110-125 V and 220 —
240 V and is set at the factory to 230 V.
Installation notes
The uppe and lower slots on the housing should be left uncovered
in order to ensure proper air circulation.
Speaker connection
Two pairs of speakers can be connected to this HiFi stereo amplifier.
Speaker pair 1 is connected to terminals SPEAKERS 1 (18)
Speaker pair 2 is connected to terminals SPEAKERS 2 (19).
All speakers with an impedance of 8 — 16 Ohm can be used.
Operation
After connecting the speakers and program sources, switch onthe
amplifier by depressing the pushbutton power (1).
Tape recordings
The played back program (turntable, tuner or tape) can be recorded
with appropriate units connected to the sockets TAPE 1 (16) and
TAPE 2 (17). Control the recording levels in accordance with the
instructions of the recording units.
Direct tape to tape recordings
If two tape or cassette decks are connected, it is possible to record
directly from tape to tape in both directions without changing the
existing connections (only from tape 1 to tape 2 in monitor mode)
Monitor
Possible connections:
a) Recording tape deck connected to the DIN socket TAPE 1. Con-
nect the monitor output of the tape to the TAPE 2/MONI-
TOR INPUT connection.
Turntable or tuner playback possible.
b) Recording: tape deck connected to the cinch (RCA) sockets
TAPE 2/MONITOR.
In this case, connect the input of the tape deck to the TAPE 2
OUTPUT connection.
Connect the monitor output of the tape deck to the TAPE 2/
MONITOR INPUT connection,
Playback from tape 1, turntable or tuner possible.
