TO INSTALL
1. WARNING: TO AVOID FIRE, SHOCK, OR DEATH, TURN OFF POWER
AT CIRCUIT BREAKER OR FUSE AND TEST THAT THE POWER IS
OFF BEFORE WIRING!
2. Mount Self-Test GFCI panel securely with screws and nuts
Torque each screw 17in-lbs. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN.
3. Connect wires per Wiring Diagram as follows:
a) BLACK lead to LINE (Hot); WHITE lead to LINE (Neutral). Twist
strands of each lead tightly and, with circuit conductors, push firmly
into the appropriate wire connector. Screw connector on clockwise,
making sure that no bare wire shows below the connector.
b) If connecting to circuit breaker, securely connect LINE BLACK wire
(Hot) to designated circuit breaker and connect LINE WHITE wire
(Neutral) to bus bar.
4. Follow wiring instructions for receptacle to securely terminate LOAD
WHITE wire to Neutral screw or lead of receptacle.
5. Follow wiring instructions for receptacle to securely terminate LOAD
BLACK wire to Phase/Hot screw of receptacle.
6. Restore power at circuit breaker or fuse.
7. See LED color chart below for status.

TEST INSTRUCTIONS FOR GFCI
1. Turn on Power. GREEN power light goes ON. If the fault status RED
indicator light turns on or continuously blinks RED, or if the GFCI cannot
reset, refer to the Self-Test Operation section.
2. Press TEST/RESET button and release. Power light must go OFF.
3. Press TEST/RESET button and release. Power light must go ON for use.
CAUTION: DO NOT USE THIS DEVICE IF ABOVE TEST FAILS. TEST
UNIT BEFORE EACH USE. DO NOT TEST THIS UNIT WITH THE
CONNECTED LOAD IN THE "ON" POSITION.
SELF-TEST OPERATION
A Self-Test GFCI has all the features of a conventional GFCI panel mount. In
addition, this panel tests itself periodically to confirm that the GFCI electron-
ics are functional. The LOAD indicator light will be solid GREEN when the
GFCI is powered from the LINE side and working correctly.
Self-Test Indications: If the fault indicator light is solid or continuously
flashing RED, a problem may exist. Press the TEST/RESET button to trip the
GFCI. If unable to reset, replace the GFCI.
NOTE: The fault indicator may flash RED at power "ON" and reset.
