Safe operation of the charging system with household
installations is very important to Mercedes-Benz. That
is why the charging current is automatically restricted
to a maximum of 8 A (charging capacity of up to
1.8 kW) when charging at a household socket.
Operating the charging system in Denmark: please bear
in mind that when charging at a household socket in
Denmark, the maximum charging current must not be
increased to 8 A if the charging time exceeds 2 hours.
The maximum charging current can only be set before
the charging system is connected to the vehicle socket
or up to a maximum of 60 seconds afterwards.

Connect the charging system to the mains supply.
The current setting is indicated by the position of
the lit green LED on AMPERE scale (8).
Press button (9) repeatedly until the LED pulses at
the desired position.
Wait until the LED lights up permanently.
The setting has now been accepted.
The setting options for the maximum charging
current depend on the adapter used.
Switching off protective earth conductor
detection
Depending on the country in which you want to charge
your vehicle, it may be necessary to switch off the
device's internal protective earth conductor detection.

WHEN PROTECTIVE EARTH CONDUCTOR
MONITORING IS SWITCHED OFF
Do not turn off internal protective earth conductor
monitoring unless an electrician has verified that
the socket is properly installed and earthed.

If a protective earth conductor is not detected,
LED (12) will light up red
Connect the charging system to the mains supply.
Immediately after connecting, press button (9) for
5 seconds.
LED (12) will flash orange three times and will then
light up orange permanently.
Protective earth conductor monitoring is switched
off.
Resetting the charging system to factory
settings

Press and hold button (9).
Connect the charging system to the mains supply.
Press and hold button (9) for a further 15 seconds.
The LEDs on AMPERE scale (8) will flash until the
charging system has been reset to factory
settings.
The charging system will automatically perform a
restart after the reset.
