INSTALLATION
When in use,the pump should be horizontal and should be positioned where it is dry, ventilated and
free of dust and other contaminants. In order to ensure proper air flow, you must maintain a clearance
around the pump of at least 10 cm (4 inches). To permanently mount the vacuum pump, remove the
rubber pads from the bottom of the base, and use the existing holes to mount unit. When permanently
mounting this pump, be sure to maintain proper clearances around the unit, especially at the air intake
at the end of the vane shell. lf a special electromagnetic valve is needed, it can be installed on the gas
inlet.
OPERATE
1. Check the oil level before use. The oil level must not be below the oil level line (6) in the sight
glass. Do not run the pump when the oil level is low, fill oil up to the oil level line (6) first.
2. Choose a connecting hose that has a shut-off valve and is suitable for creating negative
pressure. In addition, the hose should be short, tight, free of dust, dirt and heavy condensate.
3. Connect one end of the connection hose to the gas inlet (3) on the pump and the other end of the
hose with the shut-off valve to the container from which you want to pump the gas.
4. Before operating the pump, check the system for leaks.
5. Plug the power cord into an outlet and turn the pump on at the switch (5).
6. Close the shut-off valve on the selected connection hose when sufficient vacuum has built up.
7. Turn off the vacuum pump at the switch (5), disconnect the vacuum pump and remove the
connecting hose.
MAINTENANCE
•
Keep the pump clean and prevent foreign matter from entering.
•
Keep the oil filled to the oil-level (6). Don't let pump run without oil.
•
Keep the oil clean. lf the oil becomes dirty, muddy, or water or other volatile substances gets in, it
will affect the performance of the pump and the oil should be replaced. Before replacing the oil,
start the pump and have it for about 30 minutes to make the oil thin. Stop the pump and drain the
oil from the oil drain plug (7). Then open the oil filling bore (2) and switch on the pump for 1-2
minutes, during this time, add a small quantity of clean oil to the oil filling bore, that's in order to
replace the residual oil from the inside pump. After making sure the pump is clean, switch off the
pump, put the drain plug back in and then fill the clean pump oil through the oil filling bore (2) to
the oil level line (6).
•
To store the pump when not in use for long periods of time, cover the oil cap and store it in a dry
place.
•
Repair of pump should only be done by a qualified service technician.
