6) In the field "Rename Device", the name
used for the device in the Dante network
can be changed (e. g. to a specific name with
a reference to the installation location). Con-
firm with "Apply".
7) If necessary, adjust the "Sample Rate" to the
desired Dante receiver or set a different com-
mon sample rate for both devices.
8) The tab "Network Config" can be used to
change the network configuration for the
Dante interface of EAM-17DT if required.
4.2 Routing with the Dante Controller
In the "Network View" window under the tab
"Routing", the transmitters of the Dante net-
work are arranged in columns ("Transmitters")
and the receivers in rows ("Receivers"). This
matrix can be used to assign the transmission
and receiving channels of the devices to each
other.
1) In the row of the desired Dante receiver,

to show its receiving channels and
in the column of EAM-17DT, click
its transmission channels (
2) Starting from the column of the desired
transmission channel of EAM-17DT, navigate
to the row of the desired receiving channel
and click the field at the intersection.
3) Wait until the field shows a green circle with
a white tick symbol ✔.

5 Operation
The LED (1) lights up as soon as the device is
supplied with power via its network connec-
tion. The colour of the LED will indicate the
operating status:
red:
the microphone is mute
green: the microphone is on
The function of the talk button (2) depends on
the setting MODE in the configuration soft-

ware (
chap. 5.1).
5.1 Settings via the software
For EAM-17DT, some settings can be made via a
configuration program available for download
from the Monacor website (www.monacor.de
⇒ Academy).

For setting up EAM-17DT via the program,
connection to a Dante network is not required.
It is sufficient to connect the microphone to a
PC via a PoE switch if the network connection
of the PC is set to DHCP.
After starting the program, the following win-
dow will appear:

Start screen
1) Click the button DISCONNECTED. All EAM-
17DT devices found in the network will be
listed and the button will change to CON-
NECTED. The device names from the Dante
network will be listed under NAME.
2) Double-click the desired microphone on the
list. The configuration window will open on

the left.

GAIN: to set the gain in dB (volume); the ver-
tical bar graph above MUTE will show the cur-
rent signal level
MODE: to select the operating mode of the
talk button (2)
ON:
OFF: briefly press the button to switch the
PTT:
PTM: to mute the microphone, keep the
MUTE will indicate the operating status [like
LED (1)]; click MUTE: to switch microphone on/
mute (only if MODE = ON or MODE = OFF)
Click CALL: to identify a microphone, its LED (1)
will flash for 10 seconds
LOWCUT: high-pass filter to suppress impact
noise (structure-borne noise)
Click �: to close the configuration window
