Such preventive safety measures reduce the
risk of starting the tool accidentally.
When using the GBH18V-22 rotary hammer
with the GDE18V-12 on-tool dust extraction at-
tachment, use only Bosch Core 4.0 Ah battery
(or higher) for proper operation.
Use of Bosch batteries with lower Ah rating
may result in tool operating with reduced per-
formance, indicated by flashing light and lower
RPM.

Align the guide groove 10 on both sides of the
rotary hammer with the housing guide 8 on
both sides of the dust extraction attachment.

used without a filter, larger particles of drilling
dust can be flung towards the user and the
power tool can be damaged.
Only use an undamaged filter (no cracks, small
holes, etc.). Replace a damaged filter immedi-
ately.
Never carry the power tool by the dust ex-
traction attachment.
Note: The guide 2 is spring-loaded. The guide
can spring forward when the button 3 for drill
bit length adjustment is pressed (Fig. 3).

To disconnect the attachment, press and hold
the unlocking buttons 5, and pull the dust ex-
traction attachment off the rotary hammer (Fig.
