Cancelling the Recording Standby Mode
If you want to use the recorder when it is in the recording
standby mode,
® press button @ for a longer period and carry out the de-
sired function.
@ When finished, insert the cassette again and confirm the
flashing TIMER indication by pressing the associated
TIMER button.
— The TIMER recording will start and stop at the prepro-
gramm times.
Playback
Starting Playback
@ Press button >.
— Indication on recorder, eg:
C3 = Total playing time of cassette.
0.07 = Elapsed playing time of cassette.
> = Playback indicator
@ The picture and sound quality can be optimised with the
buttons —and—-.
Pause/Freeze-Frame (with interference bars)
@ When button I is pressed during playback a still picture
(freeze-frame) appears.
— Repeatedly pressing this button advances the picture one
frame at a time.
~ The duration of the freeze-frame function is limited in time.
After that, the recorder switches to stop.
® To restart playback, press button >.
— If the end of the tape is reached during playback, the re-
corder automatically switches to rewind, the tape is wound
back to the beginning and the recorder switches to stop.
Picture Search (with interference bars)
For "thumbing through" recordings at increased playback
speed.
® Forward search: Press button ® and then press button D>.
® Reverse search: Press button > and then press button 44.
~ The sound is automatically switched off.
— The picture search function is limited in time. After that, the
recorder switches to stop.
® Stop picture search with button >.
Stopping Playback
® Press button @.

Erasing a Programmed TIMER
® Call up the TIMER concerned by pressing the respective
TIMER button twice.
@ Press numbered button 0 and then the TIMER button.
— The TIMER is erased and can be programmed again.
Go-To Facility
@ Enter the required Go-To time as 3 figures in hours and
minutes using the numbered buttons 1...0, then press
button «>.
Alf a non-standard hour cassette is used, enter the tape
position as 4 figures.
Examples:
@ For a Go-To time of 48 minutes, press the numbered but-
tons 0 4 8, then press button +.
@ For a tape position of 0130, press the numbered buttons
0130, then press button +.
— After the last entry, the cassette will be wound to the re-
quired tape position and playback will commence.
Fast Tape Wind
@ With stop selected (button @): Fast forward wind by press-
ing button >>.
@ With stop selected (button @): Fast rewind by pressing
button 44.
— When the beginning or end of the tape is reached, the re-
corder switches to stop.
® Stop fast wind with button @.
