3.6. VENTILATION SYSTEM
If your appliance is equipped with a forced
ventilation system, the ventilation system is
adjusted using a 3-position switch located at the
bottom of the equipment, on the right side of the ash
drawer. To access the switch, open the appliance
door.
Fig. 5 – Ventilation switch
Possible adjustments are:
Position 0: Thermostat-activated fan start. The
ventilation system is activated when the stove
reaches 50ºC in the thermostat zone. If you wish,
you can always use this position, as the fan
switches on and off depending on the temperature.
Position 1: Manual fan start at speed 1 (standard).
Position 2: Manual fan start at speed 2 (maximum).
Speeds 1 and 2 are manual and if selected are
always activated until deactivated again (regardless
of whether the fire is on).
It is not possible to turn off the fan until the
temperature drops below 45ºC in the thermostat
area.
If you experience a prolonged power outage
during the period in which the appliance is in
operation, you must close the air intakes of your
stove (push the air regulator towards the appliance)
and let the fire go out naturally. Never put out the
fire with water!
3.7. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Your appliance will need regular cleaning
and periodic maintenance to ensure the best
performance and safe operating conditions.
Ash - If you use the appliance daily, you may need
to clean (leak) the ash drawer on a daily or possibly
weekly basis (depending on the number of daily
hours of use). Ashes should be removed before
starting a new fire, when the fire is completely out
and there are no embers in the ashtray. If there are
embers, or the ash is not yet completely cold, it

should be poured into a metal container and never
into a household waste bucket (high risk of fire!).
If you know that you will not be using the appliance
for a few days or weeks, you should completely
remove the ash from the bottom of the appliance
and the ash drawer, to better preserve your
equipment. After this cleaning, you can proceed to
apply a metal protection spray against oxidation and
corrosion, to be applied only to the internal metallic
parts and not to the ceramic ones.
Glass – The glass should only be cleaned when the
appliance is off and completely cold. To do this,
apply the cleaning product to a cloth and clean the
glass, avoiding touching the metal parts so as not to
stain the paintwork or damage them. There is no
need to clean the glass daily, but only when it
obstructs the view of the fire. Generally, following
the steps described for starting the fire and using
the recommended firewood will keep the glass
clean for a long time. It should be noted that it is
possible to carry out a pyrolytic cleaning of the
equipment, including the glass, using dry wood (not
resinous) and making a good fire.
Chimney flue - The chimney flue must be cleaned
by qualified professionals annually during the
summer
season.
maintenance from the company that installed the
equipment. As mentioned, the best time to carry out
this maintenance is during the summer for two
reasons, the first is related to the greater availability
of technicians at this time of year and the second
has to do with the fact that the summer has already
passed. nesting period of birds. Thus, if straw and
other residues have been deposited by the birds
during the chimney cleaning, they will be removed.
