Examine garden hose inbt screen. Cban if it is clogged or
repiace if it is torn.
Check High Pressure Hese
High pressure hoses can develop leaks from wear, kinking,
or abuse, inspect hose before each use. Checkfor cuts,
leaks, abrasions, bulging of cover, or damage or movement
of coupiings. If any of these conditions exist, replace hose
immediately.
WARNING
The high pressure stream of water that this

quipment produces can cut through skin and its
underlying tissues, ieading to serious injury and
)ossibb amputation.
• NEVER repairhigh pressure hose.Replace it.

Check Gun and NezzJe Extensien
Examine hose connection to spray gun and make sure it is
secure. Test trigger by pressing it and making sure it springs
back into piace when you releaseit. Put safety iatch in UP
position and test trigger. You should not be able to press
trigger. Replacespray gun immediately if it fails any of these
tests.
Nezzle Maintenance
A pulsing sensation felt while squeezingthe spray gun trigger
may be caused by excessive pump pressure. The principal
cause of excessive pump pressure is a spray tip clogged or
restricted with foreign materials, such as dirt, etc. To correct
the problem, immediately clean the spray tip following these
instructions:
1.
Shut off engine and turn off water suppiy.
2.
ALWAYSpoint spray gun in a safe direction and squeeze
spray gun trigger to releaseretained high water pressure.
WARNING

Spray gun traps high water pressure, even when
engine is stopped and water is disconnected,
which can cause injury.
° Keephigh pressurehoseconnected to purnpand spraygun
whilesystemis pressurized.
o ALWAYS pointspraygun in safedirectionand squeeze spray
gun trigger,to release high pressure everytime you stop
engine.Engage trigger lockwhennot in use.
3.
Removespray tip from end of nozzle extension.
4.
Use a small paper ctip to free any foreign material
clogging or restricting spray tip (A).

6.
Remove nozzIeextension from spray gun.
Using a garden hose, remove additional debris by back
flushing water through nozzle extension. Back flush
between 30 to 60 seconds.
7.
Reinstati spray tip into nozzle extension.
8.
Reconnect nozzle extension to spray gun.
9.
Make sure garden hose is connected to water inlet.
Checkthat high pressure hose is connected to spray gun
and pump. Turn on water.
10. Engagetrigger Iock on spray gun and start engine
foflowing instructions How to Start Your Pressure
Washe,t
11. Test pressure washer by operating with each quick
connect spray tip.
O-Ring Maintenance
Purchase an O-Ring Repair Kit at your iocai Sears or by
calling I-8ee-4¢IY-HOME (469-4663) or online at
www.sears.com, it is not inciuded with the pressure washer.
This kit includes replacement o-rings, rubber washer and
water inbt fiiter. Refer to the instruction sheet provided in the
kit to service your unit's o-rings.

Pump OiJ Maintenance
DO NOTattempt any oil maintenance on this pump. This
model does not require any pump oii maintenance. The pump
is pre-Iubricated and seaiedfrom the factory, requiring no
additional lubrication for the life of the pump.
