6.8 LED lamp (Fig. 1/Item 10)
The LED light (10) can be used in poor lighting
conditions to illuminate the area where you want
to drill or screw. The LED light (10) will come on
automatically as soon as you press the On/Off
switch (4).
6.9 Changing the bit (Fig. 7)
Caution! Set the changeover switch (3) to its cen-
ter position whenever you carry out any work (for
example changing the tool, maintenance work,
etc.) on the cordless screwdriver.
The cordless screwdriver is fitted with a
quick-action chuck (9) with an automatic
spindle stop.
Open the chuck (9). The chuck opening (a)
must be large enough to hold the tool (drill bit
or screwdriver bit).
Select the suitable tool. Push the tool as far
as possible into the chuck opening (a).
Tighten the chuck (9) and then check that the
tool is secure.
6.10 Screwdriving
It is advisable to use self-centering screws (e.g.
cross recessed head) as these will enable you to
work safely and reliably. Always make sure that
the bit used is of the same size and shape as the
screw. Set the torque to suit the screw size as
specifi ed in the instructions.
6.11 Integrated magnetic bit mount (Fig. 8-9/
Item 11)
The cordless drill/screwdriver has an integrated
magnetic bit mount (11) for ¼ inch (6.35mm) bit
inserts.
To use it, remove the quick-change drill chuck (9)
by pressing the rear drill chuck sleeve (b) towards
the quick-change drill chuck.
You can now plug a suitable bit insert into the in-

pressing the drill chuck sleeve (b). Then release
the drill chuck sleeve. The quick-change drill
chuck will lock automatically. Check whether the
quick-change drill chuck is secure.
6.12 Fitting the attachments
(Fig. 10-13 / Item 12+13)
The attachments (12+13) can be used to enable
screws to be screwed in and out and tightened in
hard-to-reach places.
The attachments (12+13) are fi tted in the same
way as the quick-change chuck (9). Pull back the
rear drill chuck sleeve (c/d) and fi t the attachment
onto the tool chuck of the equipment.
The attachments will lock automatically. Check
that the attachments are secure.
If the attachment does not lock automatically, turn
the hexagon chuck (Fig. 12/Item e/f) a little until
the rear drill chuck sleeve locks (Fig. 13).
You can now plug a suitable bit insert into the bit
mount.
To dismantle, proceed in reverse order.
6.13 Turning attachments
Remove the attachment, as described in 6.12,
and then fi t it back on again in the desired positi-
on. Check that the attachment is secure.
6.14 Using the angle attachment (13) and
quick-change chuck (9) in combination
(Fig. 14)
To be able to drill holes in hard-to-reach places,
you can use the angle attachment (13) in combi-
nation with the quick-change chuck (9).
To do so, fi t the angle attachment (13) to the
equipment, as described in 6.12, and then fi t the
quick-change chuck (9) to the angle attachment
(13), as shown in Fig. 14.
You can then insert a suitable drill bit into the
quick-change chuck (9), as described in 6.3.
Check that the attachments are secure.
The drill chuck opening (a) must be large for the
drill bit to be inserted into it.
Tighten the quick-change chuck (9) and then
check that the drill bit is secure.
