SAFETY ADVISED AND INSTRUCTIONS
• Never allow the appliance to be used by persons of under 16 years of age or who have not fully
read the present instructions booklet.
• Never allow any unauthorized persons or pets to remain within the operational area of the shredder.
• Do not forget that in the event of any accidents to persons or animals it is you who bear the respon-
sibility!
• During the use of the appliance the cutter-holder casing must always be closed. Always use the
shredder on flat ground.
• When using the shredder protective goggles must always be worn as well as gloves, ear-muffs or
other ear protection devices it is also necessary to wear long trousers and suitable footwear.
• Avoid wearing any garments which may get tangled inside the shredder.
• Never leave the shredder unguarded with the engine running and/or with starter plug cap inserted.
• Avoid using electrical shredders on damp ground.
• Always make sure that the on/off button is always within easy reach.
• Before starting up the appliance, ensure that all the safety devices have been applied in a correct
manner.
• The appliance must not be used under any circumstances if these protective devices are not enga-
ged.
• Contact the authorized assistance service as concerns the replacement of damaged mains connection
conductors.
• The extension cables must be lighter than HO5RN and shorter than 10 m. They must also have a
minimum transversal section of 1,5 mm_.
• Never store the shredder in a damp environment after use.
• Regularly check that the screws and bolts are sufficiently tightened.
• In the event of any problems contact your authorized Redbreastdealer
• With these models equipped with petrol engine: extract the spark plug each time that the machine is
switched off.
• For those models equipped with electric motor: extract the mains connection plug each time that the
appliance is switched off.
