SCALPING - The scalping technique
removes unwanted vegetationdown to
the ground. Hold t he bottom ofthe
trimmer head a bout 3 in.(8cm) a bove
the ground and atanangle. Allow the
tipofthe line tostrike t he ground
around trees, posts, monuments, etc.
This technique increases line wear.

MOWING - Your trimmer isideal for
mowing inplaces conventional lawn
mowers cannot reach. Inthe mowing
position, keep t he line parallel tothe
ground. Avoid p ressing the head i nto
the ground as this can scalp t he
ground and damage the tool.
