How to extend your battery life
• Before initial use, fully charge battery. Please ensure that the
charging procedure is performed at room temperature. This is
the only way to ensure a long battery life.
• Charger and battery can heat up during charging. This is nor-
mal and not a sign of a technical defect.
• The supplied Lithium-Ion battery can be charged at any time,
regardless of charge state.
Start-up and application
WARNING! Risk of injury caused by sharp
blade! Never reach into the blade while the
device is being operated.
• Switch on the device with the on/off switch (see fig.
NOTE! The device has a further LED display on the bottom
that shows the following conditions:
Red = Device in operation (see fig.
Flashing red = charging status ≤ 15%, device must be char-
ged (see fig.
).

• With the comb you expand the cutting length range by
3-7.5 mm, depending on how far you push the comb onto
the locking guide.
To assemble, take the comb from the rear of the charging sta-
tion
and push it onto the cutting head until it clicks into

the desired position

You can hurt the person whose hair is being cut if
you operate the device incorrectly, for example in
the ear area. To avoid injuries, cut with one edge of
the cutting unit only. Ensure that the teeth of the cutting unit do
not cut ears. Push the outer ear rim slightly away from the head.

Cleaning and maintenance
DANGER! Danger to life from electric shock!
There is danger to life in case of contact with
live cables or components! Hence, please ob-
serve the following safety instructions:
• Before cleaning, disconnect the charging station from the
mains and switch off the device.
• Never immerse the device in water.
• Wipe your device occasionally using a damp cloth and
then rub dry. Always keep the electrical charge contacts
clean.
• Clean the blades with the brush provided after every use
(see Fig.
).

• Oil the clipper blades at least once a day at the exact points
described in Fig.
. Just 1 drop per lubricating point. After

lubrication, briefly switch on the device to spread the oil.
Never use any other products for maintenance: This oil has
been specially developed for hair clippers and designed to
not vapourise or slow down the blades. If the cutting per-
formance deteriorates after a certain period of use despite
regular care, it is time to replace the clipper blades (see Fig.
). These are obtainable from your stockist.

Detach the cutting head for thorough cleaning
• Remove the cutting plates as shown in figure
• Remove the hair cut thoroughly with a brush
• Attach the cutting head again as shown in
Caution! Do not use force. The cutter edge must clearly lock
into place.
Battery disposal
As consumer you are required by law to dis-
pose of used batteries and charger as hazardous waste.
