With TIKAMAK baby sling your movements are
unrestricted when carrying baby !
TIKAMAK baby sling makes it possible to carry baby
in a simple and natural way, leaving the choice of the
best suitable position to the person carrying.
Follow these step-by-step instructions then try out
other positions for yourself. Once you have become
used to using it, both you and your baby will
appreciate the close contact and will enjoy sharing
special moments together.
INITIAL ADJUSTMENTS
You should stand up to make the initial adjustments.
Place TIKAMAK diagonally with the attachment
system (buckles) on your shoulder (2). To make the
adjustments easily, the plastic buckles should be
clearly showing at the front of your shoulder (with
the tail piece pointing downwards).
Adjusting the height of the sling
Adjust the baby sling to the desired length by
adjusting the sliding buckles (3a).
GB
The adjustment varies according to the size of the
person carrying and/or the clothes worn. Adjust the
length of the baby sling by lengthening or shortening
the tail piece at the sliding buckles (3b).
Changing the length of the adjusting straps
To enable you to carry baby as close to you as you wish.
These straps pass along and inside the two padded
edge-rolls and can be shortened or lengthened at
either end of the sling.
To shorten them, pull the extra length of strap away
from the edge-roll then pull it through the buckle to
shorten and secure it. The edge-rolls will gather and
scrunch up

WARNING: Always make sure that the adjusting
straps are properly secured before moving about with
baby in the sling.
Baby should be carried very near to the body to
enhance close contact and, importantly, to avoid a
pull effect which would oblige you to lean backwards,
not recommended for your back.
When using it the first few times, don't hesitate to
get help when adjusting the sling. Once the initial
adjustments have been done, remove the sling and
choose your carrying position.

NB: The following positions are for the sling when it
is worn on the right shoulder.
Hammock position
(6)
From birth (from 3.5kgs):
This position copies the natural position of parents
holding baby in their arms without exerting pressure
on baby's spine. The hammock position is ideal for
rocking, calming and breast feeding baby.
a.
TIKAMAK baby sling is placed diagonally on your
right shoulder. Hold baby in your right arm.
b.
With your left hand, lift up the inner edge-roll to
your chest height then open the other edge-roll to
create an opening in the pouch.
c.
Bring baby above the pouch with his head towards
the shoulder carrying the sling.
d.
Place baby in the sling, bottom and legs first,
followed by his shoulders. His head should be at
your chest height, his face visible. For extra comfort,
place his head so that it leans against the edge-roll.
e.
Check that the inner edge-roll is still at your chest
height and that baby's legs and arms are positioned
comfortably.
Do not hesitate to adjust the height of the sling
and the adjusting straps so as to obtain the most
comfortable position for you and for baby (cf. INITIAL
ADJUSTMENTS).
WARNING: Always hold baby firmly when placing
him in or removing him from the TIKAMAK baby sling.
Breast feeding position
a.

b.
Lower the inner edge-roll and prepare your breast
for feeding.
c.
