TROUBLESHOOTING
Symptom
Igniter doesn't spark
Burner doesn't light
Burner flame goes out
Carbon buildup
Burner has fuzzy blue
flame instead of glowing
orange
Possible Cause
1.
No power to igniter.
2.
Igniter in wrong position.
3.
Loose or damaged wiring.
4.
Faulty ignition module.
1.
Gas pressure is too low.
2.
The orifice is blocked.
1.
Gas pressure is low.
2.
Burner blown out by wind.
3.
Supply hose is bent or kinked.
1.
Seasonal accumulation.
1.
Heater exposed to recent rain/snow.
Outdoor Patio Heater
1.
Replace AAA Battery.
2.
Confirm igniter is not touching burner
surface. There should be a 2-3mm gap.
3.
Confirm or replace wiring from ignition
module to igniter.
4.
Replace ignition module.
1.
Turn the gas cylinder valve "OFF" and
replace the cylinder.
2.
Clear blockage.
1.
Turn the gas cylinder valve "OFF" and
replace the cylinder.
2.
Position the heater so the thermocouple is
on the backside of the wind direction.
3.
Straighten the hose.
1.
Wipe off before lighting.
1.
Burner should return to normal operation
within 15 minutes.
