MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
• Before you proceed to cleaning the appliance ensure the appliance is unplugged from the mains and let the
appliance to cool.
• The sole plate can be cleaned with a cloth soaked with vinegar. This whole operation is more easily carried
out when the sole plate is warm.
• The exterior parts of the iron may be cleaned with a slightly dampened cloth.
• Do not use abrasive or chemical products, metallic scourers, which may deteriorate the surfaces of the
appliance.
• Maintenance of the anti-lime filter: Due to the large amount of steam produced by this appliance, lime
deposits can form inside the water tank. Since limescale can affect the components of the appliance, it is
important that limescale build-up is kept to a minimum.
This unit is equipped with an anti-scale filter, which cleans and prevents scale buildup from affecting the
pump and other components inside the unit.
The anti-scale filter should be cleaned every 2-4 weeks, depending on the frequency of use and the
hardness of the water in the area. For information on water hardness in your area, consult your local water
supplier.
- Remove the limescale filter from the bottom of the generator base.
- Soak the anti-scale filter in white vinegar for a minimum of 4 hours.
- Then wash it well under running water and put it back on the generator base.
- Replacement of the anti-scale filter:
The anti-scale filter should be replaced periodically, depending on how often the iron is used and the
hardness of the water in the area. If large amounts of scale still accumulate inside the water tank even
after filtering, this indicates that the filter has stopped working. If this happens, replace the limescale filter.
• WARNING! Never pour vinegar or other cleaning fluids to remove calcium into the water tank.
• To store the iron, ensure there is no water left in the tank, set the steam control to the off position and
always store in a vertical position.
