Precautions for placement and use
o The guaranteed operating temperature range of this unit
is 0–40°C.
o Do not install this unit in the following types of locations.
Doing so could make the sound quality worse or cause
malfunction.
Places with significant vibrations
Next to a window or in another location exposed to
direct sunlight
Near heaters or other extremely hot places
Extremely cold places
Very humid or poorly ventilated places
Very dusty places
o Install the unit so that it is level.
o When placing it on a table or shelf, for example, attach the
rubber feet included in the same packaging to the bottom
of the unit to provide sufficient airflow. In addition, ensure
that there is enough open space (at least 10 cm) behind,
above and to the sides of the unit.
o When mounting this unit in a rack, leave at least 1U
between it and other equipment above and below
and ensure sufficient airflow. Furthermore, ensure
sufficient airflow by covering the open spaces with
ventilation panels or leaving them open, for example.
If the temperature inside the rack is high, open the
back of the rack and keep it at least 10 cm away from
walls and the ceiling and ensure ventilation. If the
back of the rack cannot be opened, install a fan kit or
other ventilation equipment.
Notes about power supplies for
US/Canada
Insert the included power cord all the way into the AC IN
connector.
This unit can be used with AC 100–120V (50/60Hz) power
supply voltage.
Hold the power cord by its plug when connecting or
disconnecting it.
V CAUTION
o The included power cord has a rated voltage of 125V AC.
It cannot be used with over 125 V.
o The 3-prong to 2-prong adapter is for Japan. It is not for
use in the USA.
