The following precautions and procedures should also be
followed to avoid accidents:
▪ When using the grass trimmer, place yourself in a stable
position and always keep your balance. Hold the grass
trimmer firmly to ensure continuous operation and
withstand unexpected situations.
When the rotating accessory locks, immediately unplug the
tool.
▪ Make sure that the ventilation grids are not obstructed
during operation. Do not insert any objects into the
ventilation grids.
Remove the battery from the power tool before start
cleaning, adjustment, repair or maintenance work.
Replace worn out or damaged parts immediately so that the
power tool is always operational and in safe operating
condition.
Cleaning:
Always keep the power tool clean and dry, free of oil, grease
and lubricants. Clean all components and accessories of
the power tool after use.
Do not use strong cleaning agents. These products can
damage plastics and metals and impair the safe operation
of your power tool.
Maintenance work:
Maintenance work may only be carried out as described in
this instruction manual, all other work must be carried out
by an official distributor.
Keep all nuts and screws tight so that the power tool can
operate safely.
If components or safety devices are removed for
maintenance work, they must be replaced correctly
immediately.
Use only attachable tools or accessories authorized by VITO
for this power tool or technically identical parts. Otherwise
injury or damage to the power tool may occur. In case of
doubt or if you lack the necessary knowledge and means,
you should contact an official dealer.
Your grass trimmer should only be serviced by the
manufacturer's internal service personnel, or other
qualified personnel, replacing any necessary parts with
original parts sourced directly from the manufacturer.
1. Insert the battery (3) into the grass trimmer fitting and
press the battery until you hear the "click noise" of the
battery lock/unlock button. At this point the battery is
completely secured;
2. To remove, press the lock/unlock button and pull out the
battery.
Only use VITO 20V lithium batteries.
1. Place the battery in the charger as if you placed in the
grass trimmer;
2. Plug the charger plug into the outlet and let it charge.
Sometimes at the end of charging, both the battery and the
charger may be hot, which does not mean that they are
malfunctioning.
Allow the battery to cool down before putting it in the
machine.
1. Remove 2 blades from the supplied set;
2. Place one blade on each pin;
3. Pull the blades out, making sure they are properly
secured to the pin.
