Connection to amplifier or receiver
Connect the audio cables to the phono-magnetic inputs of the
a m p l i f i e r
or receiver (black or red RCA-type plug = right channel,
RCA-type plug = left channel).
Connect the single ground wire fitted with a terminal clip to the
ground connection on the rear of the amplifier.
if your stereo amplifier or receiver is equipped with 5-pole DIN
phono sockets, a special phono adapter (Dual part nr. 262483) is
required for connection of your turntable. This adapter cable can be
obtained as optional accessory from authorized Dual dealers.
Automatic start, speed selection, stop
With button 10, select the platter speed of 33 rpm (button released)
or 45 rpm (bution depressed), and select the record size 17 or 30
cm by means of the rotary selector.
Remove the stylus guard by pulling it forwards and disengage the
tonearm. Depress the start button 11.
The tonearm is automatically lowered onto the record. At the end of
the record the tonearm is automatically returned to the tonearm post
and the unit switched off. You can also switch off the turntable by
depressing
the stop button 12 or the Y button 8 and returning the
tonearm to the tonearm post.
We recommend that the tonearm be engaged on the tonearm post
each time it is returned.
Manual start, cueing control
Depress button Y, 8 and position the tonearm over the required point
'on the record
by hand. Depress button 9. The tonearm is lowered.
The tonearm can be raised at any position — even to interrupt play
briefly
— with the button ¥ 8. The platter continues
to turning.
Pitch control
The speed may be varied with the pitch control 14 by + 6 % (approx.
1 semitone). The speed 33% rpm is checked by means of the
Illuminated stroboscope 15.
The stroboscope display appears not to move when the platter is
turning exactly at the rated speed.
The speed 45 rpm is also corrected in this way.
Stylus DN 239
The stylis is subject to natural wear and tear during playing. We
therefore recommend regular checks, which should be carried out
after at least 300 playing hours in the case of diamond-tipped styli.
Your dealer will be happy to do this for you cost-free. Worn out or
(chipped) styli damage records. Only the original

Remove the stylus by pulling it diagonally downwards.
To fit a stylus in, follow the procedure in reverse order (fig. 3).
