12 Operating the hob
Clean the appliance thoroughly before putting
into operation.
Clean the hob with a damp cloth and wipe dry.
For further information, see Cleaning and
Maintenance.
DANGER
RISK OF INJURY
If the hob can no longer be switched off
due to a defect, immediately switch off
the household fuse and contact After
Sales Service.
If necessary, contact After Sales Service.
CAUTION
To avoid damage to the hob, keep the hob dry.
Wet pots can damage the hob.
WARNING
RISK OF BURNS FROM HOT
SURFACES!
The hob and the surrounding area heat up.
Never touch hot surfaces.
Switch off the appliance as soon as
cooking is finished.
Do not use the hob without a pot or
pan.
Keep very vulnerable persons, children under 8
years and pets away from the appliance.
WARNING
ELECTRICAL SHOCK DUE TO
DEFECTIVE HOB!
The hob cannot be switched off.
Switch off or unscrew the household
fuse immediately and contact After
Sales Service.
Do not carry out repairs on the
appliance yourself.
Suitable cookware
The cooking surface and the bottom of
the pot or pan must always be clean
and dry.
Pots and pans with a flawless, smooth
bottom.
For heat-resistant cookware, follow the
manufacturer's instructions.
Do not use pots made of plastic or
whose inside is coated with aluminium.
Damage to the hob due to rough pot bottoms.

ATTENTION
Use only undamaged cookware.
Clean the hob after each use.
5. Wipe off the hob with a damp cloth and
a little detergent.
6. Wipe the hob dry with a clean cloth.
7. Remove any splashes of food or grease
immediately.

Switching on the hob
9. Plug in the mains power cable of the
appliance.
10. Place the pot or pan on the hob and set
the power regulator to the desired
power.
→ The heating indicator light starts to light
up until the set power is reached.
11. Turn the power regulator to "0/Off".
→ The appliance switches off.
CAUTION
FIRE HAZARD!
After finishing cooking, turn the power regulator
to "0". Otherwise, the appliance is in operation.
The indicator light is only lit
during the heating process. When
the appliance has reached the
temperature according to the set
power level, the control light goes
out.
Setting the power level
To cook food, set the power selector to the
desired power.
"MIN" =>2
(Reheating, keeping warm)
"MAX" => 5
(Boil, sauté, heat quickly)
Do not touch the appliance during cooking,
there is a risk of burns.
