USING THE RELIANT
Note: Standard (white) and firm (zebra) brushes must be broken in before using for the
first time. To break in brushes, run the Reliant on hard surface for three minutes.

Attach handle to the
machine by li ing and
turning the handle release
knob on top of the li ing
handle 1/4 turn (1.1). With
the operating handle
parallel to the floor, insert
the handle into the handle
socket. Unscrew handle
locking knob completely.
Turn the handle release
knob until it drops into
place. You'll hear a click
when it does. If the knob
does not click into place,
push on handle sha to
insert fully (1.2). Rotate
operating handle to upright
position. Tighten handle
locking knob completely
for stationary use. To use
the operating handle free
swinging, do not tighten
locking knob. Install the
power cord by pressing
the cord end fully into the
power cord receptacle on
machine base.

Use a standard vacuum to
vacuum the area first in
2 directions: north/south
and east/west. The more
vacuuming the better to
remove as much dry dirt
as possible.
Before Applying HOST Dry Extraction Cleaner
Before applying HOST Dry Extraction Cleaner to the floor, place bucket on its side for 10 minutes. This will
help to distribute the liquid ingredients evenly throughout the cleaner. Be sure to wipe o the edge of bucket
before replacing the lid. This will prevent leaking.

Apply HOST Dry Extraction
Cleaner to the floor,
either by hand or with
the Applicator. If applying
HOST cleaner by hand use
about one handful size for
each square yard (3' x 3')
(1.3). Do not apply more
than 100 to 200 square
feet at a time or the HOST
cleaner could dry out and
not clean as well. For the
HOST Applicator, place
HOST cleaner into the
applicator and choose
light, medium, or heavy
setting. Then guide the
HOST Applicator over the
area to be cleaned. As
it rolls, it dispenses the
chosen amount of micro-
sponges (1.4).

Plug the Reliant power cord
into electrical outlet. Do not
use an extension cord.

Remove Reliant from caddy
by unlocking bolt on front
of the caddy. Locate brush
motor switch on the back side
of the Reliant base and turn
machine brushes on. Drive
the Reliant o the caddy.
